Boracay Beach Club & Ariel's Point

About a year ago was my first time in Boracay. It took me about 2 months of planning and hotel hunting before I finalized the trip with my hubby and brother-in-law who were Boracay "suki."

Syempre, for a first timer like me, I really wanted a hassle free trip, preferably a peaceful yet memorable 4 days in one of the best beaches of the world.

First part was the endless comparing of resorts. I really want a place not that near to the central action (station 2) where the endless parties were. By reading positive reviews at tripadvisor I booked at Boracay Beach Club which is located at Station 1 away from the nightlife :)

waiting for our flight

Our first day did not came up as expected due to some flight delays from Manila. By the way try to avoid Cebu Pacific, don't mind the promos, mind the hassle and stress it will cause you later on. To summarize the stress: Our flight that is supposedly Manila-Caticlan was 6 hours delayed and was diverted to Kalibo! yeah it sucked big time & i know this happens a lot. To add to the stress was the super cramped bus that took us from Kalibo to Caticlan.

I thought the trip was sooooo ruined but once we arrived at Caticlan our fortune turned around because of the superb customer service we received from staff of BBC.

Good Points:

1. Quality Sleep

2. Mini pool

3. Rushed laundry services

4. Automatic bidet

5. Secured location (vendors not allowed)

cozy room with 2 queen size bed --- very comfy i got a quality sleep

The location of BBC is in station 1 , even though it's not beachfront it's a 2 minute walk (or just across the street). They also have a beachfront bar so it's either we took our early breakfast or late afternoon drinks at the beach.

Room has tv, cabinet, fridge, table, automatic bidet at restroom

Here was the complete list of activities we did in Boracay. I will give a full discription of each activity and also the budget you need to prepare.

The total cost of the package was 509 $ (20k +++)

Green Nature Resort & Leisure Park

Every Holy Week our family usually schedules the get together or small reunions with the relatives. For 9 years I got to take just 2 days off from work (Maundy Thursday & Good Friday), But this year I transferred to a new company and this is the first time I will enjoy the 4 days vacation. The first plan was to go to a nearby beach resort at Batangas but later decided not to push it upon seeing the travelling conditions going to the provinces due to the lots of people heading there, I mean it's chaotic.

But due to the insisting request of our "chikiting" to take him to the some swimming pool, I started to look for a resort (near quezon city). Our Choices: Bulacan area or Rizal Area. I dismissed Bulacan due to it's hard to go to the bus terminals (we will be commuting) with a kid. So then I found this resort -- Green Nature Resort  & Leisure Park http://greennatureresort.com.ph/  in San Mateo Rizal. Upon reading some positive reviews we decided that this is our resort. We called them to inquire for the prices and reserve for an aircon room with own rest room. Well I've got these numerous bad experiences at other resorts when it comes to the public shower rooms and comfort rooms so I really wanted a room instead of just a cottage. Too bad that all the rooms are fully booked on Maundy Thursday, even on Black Saturday and Easter Sunday. So we are left with the Good Friday. They reserved as an aircon room with 2 double deck beds and own CR. The total cost of the room is 1300 and 50% deposit is required. It is not entrance inclusive so we had to pay the 150 per person day time entrance.

outside our room - Molave 1
Getting there:
From Project 4 Quezon City we rode a Jeepney with Montalban signage. At first we thought commuting will be not easy and worst, there will be no jeepney (dahil Byernes Santo) but to the contradiction, there are lots of public jeepneys and fx going to various points of Rizal even on Holy Week.
Tell the driver to drop you off at upper patiis (sa may Sea Oil). From there ride the white tricycle up to the resort. The ride is soooo bumpy and dusty due to the rough road but the sight of the mountain and the cold wind blowing will ease your irritation.

Double deck beds inside Molave 1

Arrival:
Since we left at about 6:30 am , we arrived at the resort in less than an hour. There are few families lined at the entrance. I paid the remaining balance at the cashier. According to their website a room key deposit amounting to 500php is needed but refundable upon check out. But in our case they just asked for an ID. A staff guided us to our room.

The room:
Molave 1 - nothing luxurious about the room but all the basic necessities are enough. It has 2 double deck beds that can fit up to 8 persons. A restroom with separate shower room with hot and cold water, a cabinet, a dining table and chairs. There is also a service button if you want to call the staff.

The resort:

The resort has 5 swimming pools, 3 for the kids and 2 for adults (deepest is 5.5 ft). Some of the pools are with slides and some with man made falls. Some of the facilities of the resort are basketball & volleyball courts, train, bungee jumping area, wall climbing area, playground, amusement area, videoke area, and many more. See the link to view the facilites http://greennatureresort.com.ph/facilities.php

Lunch Time:
Since we did not seriously planned for this outing, we only prepared the easiest meals, Adobong manok, hotdogs, itlog na maalat, bacon sandwich, cold soda.

Hard liquors are not allowed inside the resort. Beers on the other hand are okay but they charge for corkage fee. At the clubhouse area they sell beer for 45 bucks, cocktails are also available (pitcher and tower).

there are lots of photographic areas in the resort --- so strike a pose!

swimming pool with super cold water and mini falls -- where we stayed most of the time

The resort is huge and still new, the facilities are okay BUT avoid going during the holidays or weekends as it can become too crowded. I've noticed that there were lots of yucky things floating in the pools especially the kiddie pools. The chlorine is also painful in the eyes. and there were lots of flies due to the garbage thrown by people.
